The pickets typically face out on any sections that face a street or community area. Sometimes this is required by community or HoA guidelines. On sections that face another yard it is usually the option of the owner.
There are styles that have the same appearance on both sides. Having the post on your side does require a little more effort to mow and trim around but it does offer more security since if someone wants to step up to look over the fence it will be YOU looking out.
Typically we set your fence 1" - 3" inside the line to eliminate any chance for encroachment onto someone else's property, which would cause problems when either property is sold. For this reason it is imperative to have all property lines clearly marked before fence installation.
Jasper Place Contracting warrants in accordance with applicable provisions and terms set forth in the proposal, limited materials and all workmanship incorporated in the project against any and all defects due to fault materials or workmanship for a period of 12 months from installation date.
The warranty does not cover acts of God, willful or malicious damage or other loss beyond the control of the contractor.
